This is now my 16th year as a Kindergarten/ homeroom Teacher in Thailand and my background is all from International schools.
I have a broad experience of teaching children of mixed ages ( 3-5 years old) and mixed abilities, mostly English as a second language and I am competent in the use of Early Years- Foundation Stage to aid assessment across the 7 areas of learning.
I also have a teaching background in the Montessori style of teaching based on self-directed activities and hands-on learning.
I teach after- school clubs across the kindergarten phase such as Story club, Yoga club, and Music club. I’m very much excited to join Windfield International School and thrilled to be part of the team.

Having completed his Master of Physics (MPhys) degree in Theoretical Physics in 2001, he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). After a number of roles in business, finance and corporate banking, Mark decided to change career, looking for something far more fulfilling and meaningful.
In 2012, Mark was awarded a scholarship from the Institute of Physics (IoP) in the UK to train as a secondary science and mathematics teacher (P.G.C.E.), with studies taking place at Canterbury Christ Church University. He has experience in teaching physics, mathematics, general science, business studies, economics, finance, accountancy and English from Key Stage 3 through to GCSE, A-Level / IBDP / BTEC and undergraduate degree level courses. Mark has also acted as university admissions and career guidance counsellor for a large number of students throughout his nine years of teaching.
Since moving to Thailand, Mark has had experience teaching in International Schools, Thai English Programme Schools and International Colleges running university programmes. He also has previous experience implementing new curricula and courses in schools including International A-Levels and BTEC International Extended Diplomas.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys swimming, reading, spending time with family and being inspired by nature. Mark has also committed to completing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree, studying part-time whilst nurturing students at Windfield International School. Originally from Kent in the UK, Mark has been living in Thailand for the past six years. He is married to a Thai national with a three-year old daughter together, and is a Dad to two adopted Thai teenagers. Mark has firmly made Thailand his home.

Sarah is TEFL certified and has over five years’ experience working with international students.
Her experience includes volunteering in Zambia, three years teaching EAL at a language centre in Kanchanaburi and two years of teaching EAL online to Chinese students.
She is skilled in cultural awareness, classroom management and differentiating instruction and will be joining us as an EAL Teacher from August 2021.

I’m Callum and I’m originally from Exeter in the UK.
I previously spent time living and working as a teacher in Thailand and Vietnam and am very excited to be moving back to Thailand and Koh Samui in particular to embark on a new journey as a teacher at Windfield International School.
I hold a BSc in Geography from Swansea University and a PGCE in secondary education. I have experience in teaching KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level Geography in the UK. I love teaching about the world in which we live in; from understanding the natural world, to appreciating the range of cultures, people and ways of life around the world. I aim to have diverse and engaging lessons which allow for plenty of critical thinking and problem solving. I like to challenge my students on the way in which they view the world and hope to get them to thinking as a global citizens.
Outside of the classroom I enjoy a range of sports from swimming to football and hope to be able to pass on my knowledge as a coach to help the students achieve in the sporting environment.

Hi everyone, my name is James Clements and I am very excited to be joining WIS as the head of physical education. As both sport and exercise are very important to me, my goal is to help every student achieve their full potential while gaining an understanding of the health benefits associated.
I have been a Koh Samui resident for many years and have previously held the positions of both Head of PE and head teacher on the Island. I have taught many sports including football, swimming, rugby and basketball to all age ranges. With my experience in sporting and leadership roles, I bring an accomplished skillset to this new, ambitious school.
I am keen to engage the students in a fun and challenging environment using the sporting facilities available. Additionally, I plan to include our school teams in a range of inter school competitions. I have organised and been involved in numerous sporting events on Koh Samui and I look forward to competing once again with my new students at WIS.

Pedro De Magalhães
Pedro is a teacher and visual artist with 30 yeas of experience. He holds a Master’s of Education, a Bachelor’s of Art and Design, an EU teaching license, a TEFL certification, and is Certificate Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
